Northern NSW based artist Marilyn Reeman takes us on a beautiful journey with artworks from the 'Immersion' series.
The ‘Immersion’ series was commenced during the time of ‘Covid’ drawings, emotions and a strong connection to the ‘Fig’ resonated throughout this series of work which took 3 years to complete. The fig was used as a metaphor for strength longevity and resilience in an increasingly complex and fragile time for humanity on a global scale.
Marilyn Reeman is a visual artist, teacher & textile designer. By embracing a meditative process in her work. Reeman moves in a more connected way somewhere between nature and the universe. She applies an explorative and organic method and approach creating an intimacy with both the earth and the cosmos.
Using layers of media and natural elements intuitively she seeks a respectful interaction between beauty and truth.
